dedicated to providing the finest theater, community service and
educational opportunities to its members and the residents of northeastern
Nevada. Its history is one of creativity and thought provoking theater.
The company has challenged audiences, pushed the envelope of live
theater and attracted the area's most talented actors, designers
and directors since the 1930s. From Broadway musicals to the cutting
edge of literature, to radio theater the local group has continued
a pursuit of offering the finest theater in the area. We are the
state of the arts, the community theater of Elko, Nevada. Recent

This year's season features commentaries on society, dinner theater, twists on Shakespeare, and even spooks and chills. The season kicks off with Eve Ensler's The Vagina Monologues. Board of Directors member Bailey Billington Benson will direct her seventh version of the famous commentary on women and women's issues. Silver Stage then presents Tom Stoppard's Tony Award winning absurdist, existentialist tragicomedy Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead directed by Frank L. Sawyer. Closing out our Stage Odyssey is the classic Fall tale of spooks and things that go bump in the night, Washington Irving's The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. This adaptaion written by reknown children's book author Nancy Rue will highlight the 2010 Scarecrow Festival. Making his directorial debut with the Players is Board of Directors Vice-chairman Don Jones. dge's centennial milestone. So come on our adventure, its 2010: A Stage Odyssey...you and the Silver Stage Players!
The company will also lend a helping hand at such community service projects as the Elko Relay for Life and the Thomas Scott Memorial Golf Tournament among others.
Blue Yeti, SSP Present The Vagina Monologues!
Silver Stage players and Blue Yeti Productions proudly presents a three-night only benefit reading of Eve Ensler’s award wining play, The Vagina Monologues. Last year over 4200 communities hosted V-Day benefits around the world raising funds and awareness towards ending violence against women. Elko again has joined this global movement. The Vagina Monologues will be held at GBC Theatre on February 25, 26 & 27 at 7:00pm. Tickets are $10 and may be purchased at the door. Proceeds will benefit the Committee Against Domestic Violence (CADV,) Northeastern Nevada CASA and the VDAY 2010 Spotlight Campaign. V-Day is a global movement to stop violence against women and girls and through the Vagina Monologues dives into the mystery, humor, pain, power, wisdom, outrage and excitement buried in women’s experiences.
