SSP Auditions!

Silver Stage Players Announces Auditions for "The Princess and the Enchanted Swans” Summer Children's theater Workshop!

The Silver Stage Players, the art of Elko and the city’s very own community theater company, announces registration for a Summer Children’s Theater Workshop production of The Princess and the Enchanted Swans through the 5th of May. The Princess and the Enchanted Swans is an adaptation by Bill Van Horn of the fairy tale The Six Swans recorded by the Brothers Grimm. It is being produced by special arrangement with Eldridge Publishing Co. and will be directed by SSP member and second time director Donald Jones. Mr. Jones directed The Legend of Sleepy Hollow in October and has been in many productions throughout his career.

Registration for The Princess and the Enchanted Swans will be available at the Elko Parks and Recreation office at 723 Railroad St. beginning immediately and ending Thursday, 5 May 2011. Registration is free and open to children 6 to 17 (some adult volunteer positions are available – please register at Parks and Rec.). Auditions will be held May 3, 4 & 5 from 6 - 8 pm at Mountain View Elementary Old Gym (pre-registration required). Rehearsals will begin the week of 16 May; performances will be the 15th, 16th, 22nd, and 23rd of July.
